My big complaint I guess is the size. For such a wacky effect, it takes up a ton of board space. For this reason I see it as more of a studio pedal and I only take it to gigs where I know I'm gonna need it. I'm not omar from The mars volta with some massive pedal board. If you want a classic ring mod and not someone's version of it, I would ...
Overall I have been using it for about a year and half now and I love every minute of it, it’s a real Moog synth. But this is one of the cheaper models, but that doesn’t mean it lacks quality. You can get this moog for about a 1000 less than the other models by moog.
What I like most about this pedal is its overall vast improvements compared to its predecessor the EP-1. I own both and have pretty much shelved the EP-1 at this point do to the amount of noise and issues I have had with it. The EP-2 is a far superior pedal. The resistance of the pedal is much more sturdy and smooth. You also get an "express...
There are many things to love about this unit. First off, it is designed and integrates perfectly for control of my Mooger Foogers and my Slim Phatty. I have hands free control of every essential parameter and the setup was very easy. Coupled with the ability to save "presets," you can now actually have presets stored for your mooger foogers....
What I like most about this unit is kind of hard to explain, only because it might not sound like a tone you would want, but trust me, you do. Basically, I find that this plugin reminds me of "Digital Clipping." Usually that is a tone avoided at all costs but imagine you get the grit and character of Digital clipping with the warmth and smooth...
What I like most about this plugin is what I love most about all Moog stuff; The amazing sound quality. I have never heard a phaser pedal that sounded this good. In fairness, I am most familiar with boss phasers, Line 6, and lots of different synth built in and software phasers. This is one of the "cheaper" moogerfoogers coming in aro...
I absolutely love the tone of this pedal but what I love most is the ability to "pitch" shift your delay sounds (by messing with the Feedback time) and not getting the alaising and other awful sounds you get out of digital delay pedals when trying to achieve the same thing. The only thing I don't like about the pedal is the absence of "Tap Temp...
What I like most about this guitar is I don't need to use my somewhat clumsy Ebow to get the fun "violin"/"Pad" sounds I love. What's even better is that is can vibrate all the strings on the fretboard for really large intense pad action. The only complaint I have about this guitar is the VO power knob seems slightly unbalanced. Half way turn...
This is pricey piece of gear that requires lots of reading and experimenting to really use well. If you like to just plug and play I suggest you find something like a sample and hold pedal to get similar sounds easier. If you are like me and enjoy tweaking and options then this is a great pedal.
If you just need a simple phase sound this might not be for you. The sound quality is excellent but the size and price may be too much if an old Phase 90 will work for you. Personally I don't think I will ever sell this box as it's the first Moog product I bought and it got me into all of their pedals. I did not own too many phasers before this ...
